// ATI Format Displays
The complete ATI format family in production. Eight catalog configurations from 45mm to 121mm square. The display standard that commercial manufacturers don't produce — we do. Custom ATI dimensions engineered to exact specification.
// Production-qualified 3ATI module
// Format Guide
ATI (Air Transport Instrument) format is a square LCD panel standard used in cockpit instrumentation, avionics, and flight simulation. Unlike standard commercial displays — defined by diagonal measurement and consumer aspect ratios — ATI formats are defined by their square active area, with designations corresponding to nominal inch dimensions.
No major commercial LCD manufacturer produces ATI-format glass. The format exists specifically for aviation and simulation, and the supply chain has historically been narrow. Tannas Display Solutions produces the full 2ATI through 6ATI family by physically resizing commercial TFT donor panels to ATI active area specifications — no new glass fabrication, no custom tooling NRE, no minimum order.

// Process Originator
Lawrence E. Tannas Jr. developed the LCD resizing process. TDS is his family’s company — built on that same technical foundation. That depth of process knowledge does not transfer through a datasheet.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2ATI | TD11-018018 | 45.68 × 45.68 mm | 360 × 360 | Compact 2ATI for small cockpit instruments, legacy avionics panels, and part-task trainer configurations. | |
| 3ATI | TD11-024024 | 60.22 × 60.22 mm | 480 × 480 | High-demand 3ATI. Most common format for legacy cockpit instrument retrofit and flight simulator programs. | |
| 3ATI | TD11-026026 | 64.80 × 64.80 mm | 480 × 480 | Alternate 3ATI variant. Supports programs requiring marginal dimensional increase within the 3ATI envelope. | |
| 4ATI | TD11-031031 | 80.00 × 80.00 mm | 480 × 480 | Standard 4ATI cockpit instrument format for primary and secondary display applications. | |
| 4ATI | TD11-033033 | 82.66 × 82.66 mm | 640 × 640 | Higher-resolution 4ATI. Preferred for primary flight display and navigation panel applications. | |
| 5ATI | TD11-039039 | 99.40 × 99.40 mm | 960 × 960 | High-resolution 5ATI. Primary display unit replacement for full-mission Level C and Level D simulators. | |
| 5ATI | TD11-042042 | 106.70 × 106.70 mm | 640 × 640 | Oversized 5ATI for expanded cockpit programs requiring larger active area within the 5ATI envelope. | |
| 6ATI | TD11-048048 | 121.54 × 121.54 mm | 768 × 768 | Largest ATI format. MFD and panoramic displays for advanced combat aircraft and transport simulators. |
// Applications
Primary flight displays, navigation panels, and instrument cluster replacements requiring ATI-standard active areas.
Level C and Level D simulator primary and secondary display panels. ATI format is the de facto standard for simulator instrument replication.
Drop-in ATI replacement for EOL avionics displays in aircraft with existing ATI-format enclosures and connector configurations.
Mission system displays, targeting panels, and crew station interfaces in military aircraft and support equipment.
Instrument procedure trainers and cockpit familiarization devices requiring production-representative ATI display configurations.
Program-specific active areas outside catalog ATI designations — engineered to exact specification with feasibility review within one business day.
// Ordering
All eight ATI configurations require no custom engineering. Submit format designation, quantity, and cell or module configuration for a quote within one business day.
Program-specific active areas not in the catalog are engineered to specification. Submit horizontal and vertical dimensions in millimeters for a feasibility review at no cost.
