COMMON QUESTIONS

Can any LCD be resized to a custom dimension?+
Most commercial TFT LCD panels are candidates for resizing. Engineering reviews your target active area against available donor panels and confirms feasibility within one business day. Some very small dimensions or unusual aspect ratios may limit donor options — we will tell you upfront.
What information do I need to submit?+
At minimum: your required active area in millimeters, horizontal and vertical. Quantity, program application, outer envelope constraints, and any known donor panel or part numbers are helpful but not required. We'll work from whatever you have.
How long does custom LCD resizing take?+
Standard lead time is 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of order (ARO). The initial feasibility review is provided within one business day — at no cost and no commitment.
Is there a minimum order quantity?+
No. Tannas Display Solutions has no minimum order quantity. We support programs requiring a single first-article unit through full production quantities.
Can you replace a discontinued or obsolete display?+
Yes. EOL and obsolescence replacement is one of our most common programs. When a commercial LCD goes end-of-life and your enclosure was built around its exact active area, we resize a donor panel to match your original dimensions — no enclosure redesign, no driver changes required.
Do you support flight simulator display replacement?+
Yes. Flight simulation is a primary market. ATI-format displays — 3ATI, 4ATI, and custom square formats — are a standard part of our catalog. Submit your dimensions for a feasibility review.
Do you supply resized cells without module assembly?+
Yes. We deliver cell-only resized panels or complete display modules — backlight, driver electronics, housing, and connectors assembled and tested. Your configuration, your spec.
Is first article inspection documentation available?+
Yes. FAI documentation is available for qualifying programs. We support formal qualification requirements and first article documentation for defense and medical programs.
